If you want to know why "they hate us" check out "All the Shah's Men" by Stephen Kinzer. How many of us know that the CIA overthrew the Democratically elected president of Iran in 1953, replacing him with the mass-murdering Shah of Iran. Of course the Islamists were the only force that could free Iran of the US's bloody puppet and now you have a radical Islamist theocracy where there once stood a new secular democracy. Thanks to the people who have brought you 130 years of American imperialism and aggression.

Don't give me that "but they would go commie" BS either. That wasn't what Truman thought. And the outcome we got couldnt be too much worse.

Is this "blame america first"? Let's blame America when she deserves it.

Check out Kinzer's "Overthrow" where he chornicles about 14 or so episodes over violent regime change at the hands of the US since we overthrew the Queen of Hawaii in 1898 or so.

The US is far from completely evil. But there is plenty of blame to go around.

To the neo-cons - face facts! Stop the US aggression and a major part of the world's problems will be solved. We can't fixed the rest of the world but we can fix ourselves.
